The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering expert services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it is actually alarmed regarding the large variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie status sassa and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The support position made for intervention ordeals a high inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to help the servicing of all customers and increase usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
